Methodological Approaches

Our research employs a comprehensive set of methodologies to explore these mechanisms:

  • High-Throughput Screening: We use advanced screening techniques, such as CRISPR-based loss- and gain-of-function studies, to identify key factors involved in stress response pathways and their roles in tumor progression.
  • Targeted Functional Studies: Focused investigations are conducted to elucidate the mechanisms of action and the functional consequences of specific factors at cellular, tissue, and systemic levels.
  • Imaging: We use an array of advanced imaging technologies, including in vivo cell imaging, wide-field and confocal microscopy, and immunofluorescence. Both conventional and AI-assisted image analysis techniques are employed to examine tumor behavior, cellular interactions, and microenvironmental dynamics.
  • Integration of Omics Data: We integrate data from (epi)genomics, transcriptomics, and metabolomics of patient-derived datasets generated from in-house tumor biopsies and public repositories. These datasets are analyzed using advanced bioinformatics to uncover molecular pathways and therapeutic targets, linking experimental findings to clinically relevant applications.
